Artemis: “It’s nice to be back. I didn’t realize how much I’ve been missing it. Which is pretty much exactly what Wally’s afraid of. He’s worried the rush that comes with the mask will get its hooks in and I won’t give it up until my dying day.”
Nightwing: “I know exactly what you mean.”

This scene was my favourite Afriends moment of the episode. Why?

Simple: Because in just a few lines, a small conversation, we can see how well they get each other. Before the new additions came, they were the only non-metas on the team. So they’re being on the team was out of their own choice, out of the pure desire to want to be a hero.

The way Artemis talks about the rush of the hero gig, just shows much she loves it. The excitement, the passion just seeps through her voice as she unfolds her bow and there’s this sparkle in her eyes as she doesn’t keep her eyes of her weapon the whole time. While Dick listens to her attentively, staring with his mouth agape as he recognises himself in her speech. Then, when she’s done, the way he smiles at her while saying he understands it, just shows he loves it as much as she does.

This doesn’t mean that the others don’t love donning the uniform either. But it seems that it’s different for them. And only they get why.
